Banks, financial institutions to resume regular hours from today

Banks, Financial Institutions, and Stock Markets to Resume Operations on Sunday after Eid Holidays Following the conclusion of the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, all banks, insurance companies, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), and stock exchanges across Bangladesh are set to resume operations on Sunday, 6 April.

According to a directive from Bangladesh Bank, regular banking hours will return to the pre-Ramadan schedule, with services available from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday.

In line with standard operating procedures, insurance companies and NBFIs will operate on working days from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, ensuring full-day customer service and operational continuity.

Meanwhile, trading activities at both the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) will also resume on Sunday.

Market trading hours will run from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, followed by a 10-minute post-closing session to complete final trades and adjustments.
The reopening marks the return to regular economic and financial activities nationwide, as institutions prepare to serve clients and investors after the festive break.
