Entertainment Report :

The line ‘Lal-Sobuj Er Bijoy Nishan Haatey Haatey Chhoriye Dao’ from the song titled ‘Jole Utho Bangladesh’, penned by Bangladesh’s National Film Award winning lyricist Robiul Islam Jibon, has been featured on FIFA World Cup’s verified Facebook page.

Earlier on Wednesday, at around 11:00am, the FIFA World Cup’s verified Facebook page shared a post featuring Bangladesh footballer Sheikh Morsalin. The caption included a line in Bengali from Jibon’s song: ‘Lal-Sobuj Er Bijoy Nishan Haatey Haatey Chhoriye Dao’ along with the Bangladeshi flag emoji.

The song titled ‘Jole Utho Bangladesh’ was originally written in 2011 ahead of the Cricket World Cup. Composed and arranged by Arfin Rumey, the track was performed by members of the band Durbin. While talking to media in this regard, lyricist Jibon said, “The 2011 World Cup began on this very day.

I wrote this song at that time. Seeing FIFA World Cup’s official page post this in Bangla today is truly a special feeling. The song is now 14 years old, and since I was mentioned in the post, I saw it immediately. This is wonderful news for me.”

“Earlier, I heard this song being played in stadiums in Sri Lanka and Dubai. It was also played at the Bangladesh-Argentina friendly match in Dhaka in 2011,” he also said.
