Stock markets likely to regain momentum by June

Business Report :

The stock market is anticipated to regain momentum by June, driven by ongoing reforms, according to Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Chairman Mominul Islam. Speaking at the ‘CMJF Talk’ hosted by the Capital Market Journalists Forum (CMJF) on Saturday, he expressed optimism about the market’s recovery.
“Reforms are currently in progress, and by June, some of these changes may positively influence the market,” Mominul Islam said.
“Investors will begin to trust that these efforts are genuine, leading to an improved situation in the stock market,” he said.
He elaborated that a task force is actively addressing persistent irregularities and corruption.
“Although not all reforms will be finalized by June, the implementation of some will help restore confidence among investors,” he noted. “This will pave the way for establishing long-term credibility in the capital market. There will be no undue advantages, ensuring a return of investor trust.”
