BPL Football: Brothers, Fortis win

Brothers Union Club defeated Chiittagong Abahani Limited by two goals to nil in their match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bir Shreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Friday.

After yesterday’s outcome, Brothers Union took the top spot with seven points from three matches, while Chittagong Abahani Limited remained the bottom position with three matches.
Brothers Union’s Senegalese recruit Cheikh Sene put his team ahead in the 14th minute of the play.

Cheikh Sene sealed the fate of the match after dodging past Chittagong Abahani goalie and put the ball into the blank net just at the dying moment.

Meanwhile, Fortis FC blanked Fakirerpool Youngmens Club 3-0 at the Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur city on the same day.

Fortis FC gained four points from three matches, while Fakirerpool Youngmens Club remained with naught from as many matches.

Fortis FC’s foreign recruit Omar opened the account in 52nd minute of the game.
Piash Ahmed Nova made it 2-0 In the 57th minute of the clash.

Piash Ahmed Nova increased the tally into 3-0 in the 85th minute of the match.
Fortis Club earned the fifth position with four points from three matches, while Youngmens Club Fakirerpool took the ninth spot with naught.
