New Nation’s Netrokona Correspondent Passes away

A senior journalist of Netrakona and correspondent of The New Nation M. Fakrul Haq (61) is no more (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun). He died at a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday (December 3) around 9 pm. He is the son of Fazlul Haq, a resident of Malni Road area of Netrakona pourashava.
Netrakona District Press Club Member-Secretary M. Kibria Chowdhury Helim confirmed this information.

He said that M. Fakhrul Haq was once the member-secretary of Netrokona District Press Club. He died at a hospital in Dhaka. Fakhrul suffered a heart attack on Tuesday around 10am. He was immediately taken to Netrokona Sadar Modern Hospital and later to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH). When the situation worsened there, he was sent to Dhaka.

M. Fakhrul Haque started journalism in 1985 through Dainik Naba Abhiyan. Later he joined New Nation. He is survived by a son and a daughter. Various institutions and individuals including Netrokona District Press Club have expressed their condolences on his death. His burial will be buried after Maghrib prayers.
