Bangladesh storm into Junior World Cup Hockey

Bangladesh National Under-21 Hockey team stormed into the Junior World Cup Hockey after thrashing Thailand National Under-21 Hockey team by 7-2 goals in a place-deciding match of the Junior Asia Cup Hockey at Hockey Oman Stadium in Muscat, the capital city of Oman on Tuesday.

By virtue of yesterday’s victory, Bangladesh already confirmed their sixth place.

Bangladesh will face the winners of the match between South Korea and China. If Bangladesh win the match Bangladesh will be taken the fifth position in this meet.

Bangladesh opened their account when Mohammad Joy put his team ahead by an angular shot in the third minute of the play. Amirul Islam made it 2-0 using a penalty corner in the sixth minute of the match.

Mohammad Abdullah increased the margin by pushing the ball into the blank net from a handshaking distance in the 16th minute of the game. Chuemke Costana of Thailand reduced the margin capitalizing a penalty corner in the 30th minute of the match.

After four minutes, Mohammad Hasan made it 4-1 by a reverse heat. Fumi Costana decreased the margin utilizing a penalty corner in the 35th minute of the game.

Mohammad Khan made it 5-2 using a pass of his teammate Mohammad Islam in the 37th minute of the encounter.

Mohammad Joy increased the margin in the 39th minute by a reverse hit. Mohammad Abdullah sealed the fate of the match by scoring a gool in the 48th minute.
