Greaves hits ton Windies declare at 450/9

West Indies declared their first innings making 450 for the loss of nine wickets on the Day 2 of first Test against Bangladesh at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua of West Indies.
The Tigers were at the stumps at 40 for the loss of two wickets.
Bangladesh trailed by 410 runs from the hosts.
West Indies resumed their first innings with the over-night score of 250 for the loss of five wickets.
Justin Greaves and Joshua Da Silva resumed their first innings with the over-night score of 11 and 14 runs respectively.
Joshua could not add any run on the second day as he was trapped leg before wicket by Hasan Mahmud when the home side’s total was 228 for the loss of six wickets.
Alzarri Joseph (4) was caught at the gully by Zakir Hasan off Hasan Mahmud when West Indies’ score was 261 for the loss of seven wickets.
Greaves and Kemar Roach fought back scoring together 140 runs for the eight-wicket partnership before Roach was bowled out by Hasan Mahmud when the hosts’ total was 401 for the loss of eight wickets.
Roach made 47 from 144 deliveries with two fours.
Greaves remained unbeaten with 115 runs. His 206-ball knock had four fours. It was his maiden Test century.
After Roach’s dismissal, Greaves and Jayden Seales added together 37 runs in the ninth wicket stand before Jayden (18) was caught at the mid-on by Hasan Mahmud off Mehidy Hasan Miraz when the Caribbeans’ total was 438 for the loss of nine wickets.
Then, Greaves and Shamar Joseph contribute 12 runs for the unbroken partnership before West Indies declared their first innings.
Hasan Mahmud was the day’s most successful bowler with three wickets in the space of 87 runs.
Bangladesh had a sorrow start as opener Zakir Hasan (15) was bowled out by Jayden Seales when Bangladesh’s score was 20.
After Zakir’s departure, opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy (5) could not stay at the crease for a long period as he was caught by Alick Athanaze off Alzarri Joseph when the touring side’s total was 21 for the loss of two wickets.
Shahadat Hossain Dipu was on 10 and Mominul Haque was on 7 before the bails were drawn for the second day.
Joseph and Seales took one wicket each for two and 15 runs respectively.
