Fahmida Nabi’s complaint about syndicate at playback

Due to the syndicate, many people do not get the opportunity to work in playback – such complaints are heard almost.
Artiste Fahmida Nabi spoke about her disappointment with syndicate at playback. She complained that although it was recorded many times, someone else was taken in that song later.
Last Friday, Fahmida Nabi sang the song titled ‘Thak Na Durer Hoye’ of S M Qayyum’s movie ‘Antorborti’.
Written by S M Qayyum and composed by Rahul Kumar Dutta, the music has been arranged by Pintu Ghosh.
Fahmida Nabi said about this new song, “The story of the triangle relationship can be seen in ‘Antorborti’. At some point in the story, everyone goes into the void. The state of mind of all of them will emerge in the song.”
Fahmida Nabi releases original songs regularly.
However, she is irregular in movie songs. Although she won the National Film Award for her voice in the song titled ‘Lukochuri Lukochuri Golpo’ in movie ‘Aha’ in 2007, she was not seen regularly in the playback.
Fahmida Nabi informed that after two years in a movie song with ‘Antorborti’, she gave voice to a movie song.
Earlier, she lastly lent her voice for movie ‘Chador’.
Why this increase in playback? Fahmida Nabi threw a counter question to this correspondent after asking such a question. She said, “This question is mine. I always hear my voice is filmy. Everyone says you should do more playbacks. So why don’t I? It is very painful for me.”
Fahmida Nabi said about syndicate at playback, “A syndicate that controls movie songs. The artistes associated with that syndicate are singing back and forth. The rest are being deprived of it.”
Fahmida Nabi said with disappointment, “I am supposed to sing in many movies after the song ‘Lukochuri Luckochuri Golpo’. But how much has it been? Many times I get to know that I am supposed to sing in a movie. But later that song is not playing anymore or someone else is singing it.”
“It happened, even after recording the song, the voice has changed in the movie. There is no answer as to why this is happening. But I believe if there is merit, nothing can be prevented by obstacles. I want to work as a precision artiste. If someone needs my voice they will find me,” she also said.
Fahmida Nabi thinks that the directors of the movie have to play an important role to eliminate the syndicate.
The artiste said in this regard, “Directors should come forward in this regard. The manner in which the actors are finalised according to the character, in the same way, the artiste who needs the song should be called. Musicians are as important as heroes and heroines. A good song keeps the movie alive.”
