Ex-secretary Jahangir Alam sent to jail

A court here on Saturday sent former secretary of the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat and Home Ministry Md Jahangir Alam to jail in a case lodged over killing of a teenager Abdul Motalib during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman passed the order as police produced Jahangir Alam before the court after end of his five-day remand in the case.
