The Entomology Division of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) arranged a workshop on “Integrated Pest Management in Bangladesh” at the Kazi Badruddoza auditorium of the institute on Saturday.
Director General of BARI Dr. Debasish Sarker presided over the session while Joint Secretary (Research Wing), Ministry of Agriculture, Rehana Yasmin was present as chief guest. Newly Apointed Director General of BSRI Dr. Ferdouse Islam & BARI Director (Research) Dr. Md. Abdullah Yousuf Akhond weare present as special guests. Ex- Director (Planning and Evaluation) Dr. Syed Nurul Alom gave his spech as guest of honour. Director (Planning and Evaluation) Dr. Md. Abu Hena Sorwar Jahan; Director (Director General’s Office) Dr. M M Kamrozzaman; Director (Horticulture Research Centre) Dr. Munshi Rashid Ahmad; Director (Tuber Crops Research Center) Dr. Md. Matiar Rahman; Director (Oilseed Research) Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam; Director (Pulse Research Centre) Dr. Md. Saleh Uddin were present their also.
At this time, International delegates from various Organization, Pesticide Management company delegates and Senior scientist from various center/division/section of BARI were present there also. Dr. Nirmal Kumar Dutta Chief Scientific Officer (Entomology Division) gave the welcome address in this Workshop. The program was jointly organized by BARI, CIMMYT, Virginia Tech and USAID.
