Extramarital affair leads to wife’s murder

Rebeka Bala (35), mother of two sons, was allegedly killed for pressing to stop husband’s extramarital love and demanding dowry. The police recovered the body of the deceased on Tuesday noon. The incident took place in Rahutpara village of Agailjhara upazila of Barishal district. Subir Baroi of Nabogram area of Dasar police station under Madaripur district and elder brother of deceased Rebeka Bala, alleged that his brother-in-law Sanjit Bala of Rahutpara village in Agailjhara, was involved in an extramarital affair for a long time.
Due to this, there was a marital discord between their husband and wife. He also complained that Sanjit Bala was often physically and mentally torturing his sister by demanding dowry in addition to adultery.
