Ctg Flyover Collapse 8 imprisoned for 7 yrs

A Chattogram court on Wednesday sentenced eight people including the then Project Director of the construction firm concerned to seven-year in prison each in a case over Chattogram under-construction flyover collapse that killed 13 people in 2012.
Judge of the Chattogram Additional Metropolitan Session Judge Court-4 Shariful Islam Bhuiyan pronounced verdict. The court also fined the convicts TK 3 lakh each, in default, to suffer six months more in prison.
The convicts are- Project Director of construction firm Mir Akhter and Parisa Trade System Gias Uddin, Manjurul Islam, Engineer Abdul Jalil, Aminur Rahman, Abdul Hye, Mosharraf Hossain, Shahjahan Ali and Rafiqul Islam.
All of them were former employees of the construction firm Mir Akhter and Parisa Trade System.
