Sraboni in seven new songs before going to Biswa Bharati University

Sraboni Shayantony, artiste of this generation of Bangladesh who are busy studying Hindustani Classical Music at Biswa Bharti University, came to
the country ie Dhaka on vacation for a little more than a month. She left for Biswa Bharati University at 10:00am flight yesterday morning. Before going there, she has given voice to seven new original songs.
Seven new songs are: ‘Beiman’, lyrics were written by Firoz Kangal and music was composed by Anim Khan; ‘Chokh’, lyrics were written by Sheikh Nazrul and music was composed by Fidel Naim; two songs for the drama titled ‘Poter Bibi’, lyrics were written by Krishnendu Bhuniya and music was composed by Amit Chatterjee; ‘Vul e Bhora Anko’, lyrics were written by Amol Ghosh and music was composed by Shamim Mahmud; playback song titled ‘Khoda Jane’ for movie ‘Dui Maa’ which lyrics were written by
Abul Hossain Majumdar and music was composed by SK Sagor Shaan; and another playback song titled ‘Oi Paharer Jhornay’ by same lyricist and
composer’s music composition.
Sraboni’s co-artiste was SK Sagor Shaan of two songs of the movie, while she said that all the rest of the songs are her solo voice. But the modern songs will soon be released one by one, Sraboni added.
While talking about lending her voice for new seven original songs, Sraboni Shayantony told this correspondent, “Maybe I would have sung some more good songs. But it was not possible for me to work on some songs because I was not given time due to various busy schedules. But the seven songs that I have been able to sing, the lyrics and melody of each song are excellent. I am going back to India after a very good time. I will be waiting for the release of the songs. Because it can be said that every song especially ‘Chokh’, ‘Beiman’, and ‘Oi Paharer Jhornay’ – these three songs I am very much looking forward to release. I am sincerely grateful to the lyricist, composer, music director, producer and co-artistes of each song.”
