Human chain in Barishal calls for abolishing quota system

The students of Barishal University (BU) and Barishal Government Brojo Mohun (BM) College separately staged demonstration and human chain programmes in front of their campus areas demanding abolition of quota system and protested the verdict of court on the reinstatement of the quota system in the first and second class government jobs and demanded the cancellation of the quota.
On Sunday June 9, 2024 noon the students of BU organized this human chain and protest march in front of the main gate of the university. Meanwhile, they blocked the Barishal-Patuakhali regional highway. Later, a protest march passed through the main gate of the university and circumambulated Barishal-Bhola Road, ending at the ground floor of the university.
During the programme, the agitated students chanted slogans like “You should inform all over Bengal, bury the quota system’, ‘The tool of eighteen.
