3 of a Kulaura family die of road accident

Three members of a family in Kulaura were killed in a road accident. They died when a covered van collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw on the Moulvibazar-Barlekha regional highway in Ashurighat area of Kulaura upazila on Sunday evening.

The deceased are Deenbandhu Munda (55), son of Deenbandhu, Pujan Munda (35) and elder brother Rabindra Munda (60), a resident of Kuchai Outpost Tea Garden in neighboring Juri Upazila. Two other family members of the deceased along with the driver were injured in the incident.

Kulaura Police Inspector (Investigation) Kaishinu Marma said over the phone on Monday afternoon, after the autopsy, the bodies have been handed over to the families of the victims.

Legal action is under process in this incident. The driver of the killer covered van fled after the accident. 2 cars involved in the accident have been impounded.
