Sheikh Russel reach semis beating Ctg Abahani 2-0

Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra confirmed their semifinal berth beating Chittagong Abahani 2-0 in the third quarterfinal of the Federation Cup Football at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra will play against defending champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in the first semifinal of the tournament on Sunday (March 1).
In the day’s quarterfinal, Nigerian forward Kingsley Chigozie put Sheikh Russel ahead in the 41st minute utilizing a low cross off forward Zahid Hasan Emily which was chest-down by Chigozie to hit the far post net with an upward placing shot, 1-0.
Cameroonian midfielder Paul Emile doubled the margin lead in the 57th minute utilising a square pass from Mithun Chowdhury in the midfield, the strong midfielder blasted home with a powerful shot from 30 yards, 2-0.
Earlier, forward Kingsley Chigozie missed a chance in the 25th minute, he hit the side post with a fierce side-volley off a curved cross also was from forward Zahid Hasan Emily, but, failed to convert correctly.
In the 30th minute, Emily set Yusuf Sifat free with a back header in the middle of the box but Sifat placed the ball over the crosspiece.
