Haque Group’s Adam Tamizi gets bail in CSA case

The High Court Division of the Supreme Court on Thursday granted bail to Haque Group Chairman Adam Tamizi Haque in a case filed under the Cyber Security Act (CSA).

The bench of Justice Md. Iqbal Kabir and Justice Md. Aktaruzzaman passed the bail order. Tamizi Haque’s lawyer, Barrister Sakir Uddin Ahmed Bappi, confirmedthe news to the media about the bail.

The Counsel said there is no bar to his releasing Adam Tamizi from jail since there is no other case against him.

Earlier on January 4, a Dhaka court sent Adam Tamizi Haque to jail in the CSA case filed with
Dakkhinkhan Police Station for making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the country on social media.

On December 10, Adam Tamizi was arrested at his Gulshan residence.
