100 Rly engines ready for Eid service

Bangladesh Railway, East Zone, Chattogram has made extensive preparations for the Eid journey. 100 engines have been kept ready. After the repair, 95 coaches will be added to the railway fleet. Monitoring cell has been constituted to maintain punctuality of trains and prevent schedule disruption. Along with this, the system of patrolling has been kept. Relief trains will be ready all the time to reach the accident site at the earliest. These coaches and engines will be ready for passenger transport after renovation before the start of Eid trip on April 3. Already several engines and coaches have been handed over to the concerned department after repair from the Pahartali workshop.
Coaches and engines of the Eastern Railway are repaired at the hilltop workshop in the city. This time 95 meter gauge coaches have been prepared for Eid Journey in this workshop and planned to be included in Eid Journey . Besides, 100 locomotives or engines have been asked to be kept ready for the eastern part of the railway. Last year 90 coaches were repaired and transported passengers during Eid. This year the number of coaches has been increased to five.
