Razia Khatun, who was a player of South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-18 Championship winning team of Bangladesh passed away after giving birth to a baby son on Wednesday night.
A source of Bangladesh Football Federation confirmed this mater.
Razia breathed her last on Wednesday night after giving birth to a baby son at her home at Moutala Union in Kaliganj Police Station of Satkhira on Wednesday.
After giving birth to a son she had been suffering complications and also was a victim of internal bleeding.
Razia Khatun was a player of the age group of Bangladesh Women’s Football team. The football lovers of the country expressed mourn at her death.
Former head coach of Bangladesh Football team Golam Rabbani Choton, who acted as the head coach of Bangladesh Women’s Football team for a long time said, ” Razia Khatun played in the final phase of AFC Women’s Under-16 Championship in Thailand in 2017.
Razia Khatun was a player of Bangladesh Under-18 Women’s Football team, which emerged as the champions in the SAFF Under-18 Women’s Championship in 2018.
She was also a member of coaching camp of Bangladesh Women’s Football team. But she did not get chance to play as she was out of form.”
Sanjida Akter, who is now playing for East Bengal Club in the India Women’s League, said, ” Razia and my career started altogether.
After out of the coaching camp of Bangladesh Women’s Football team, she got married.
It is painful for me that she died after giving a birth of a baby.
We lost a friend.”
