Child’s body recovered from city rickshaw garage fire

Charred body of a child was recovered from the spot of the devastating fire that broke out at a rickshaw garage at Madhubagh in the capital’s Moghbazar area on Saturday morning. Ramna Police Station officer-in-charge Mashiur Rahman confirmed it while details of the deceased child could not be confirmed immediately. He also said he had heard of the recovery of two more bodies, which he could not confirm. Fire service and civil defense sources said the fire erupted at the garage around 8:15am and soon spread around. On information, 10 fire fighting units from different fire stations of the city rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after one hour of frantic efforts. However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
