Girl attends SSC exams keeping father’s body at home

A candidate participated in the SSC exam leaving her father’s body at home. On Wednesday, the heartbreaking incident took place in Gargari village of Ishwardi.
It is known that Siddikur Rahman Malitha (57), a prominent oil trader of Aotapara Bazar in Sahapur Union of Ishwardi and a resident of Gargari village, died at Bardem Hospital in the capital Dhaka at 5:30 pm on Tuesday. His funeral prayers were held on Wednesday at 11 am. Siddiqur Rahman Malitha’s (16) daughter Suraiya Khatun is participating in this year’s SSC examination. He left his father’s body at home in the morning to take part in the information and communication technology exam on Wednesday.
Shamsul Islam, the secretary of the examination center and head teacher of Bansherbada High School, said that the incident of leaving the dead body of the father at home and coming to the center for the examination is very shocking and heartbreaking. The girl was repeatedly losing consciousness when she came to the examination center. We tried to give him mental strength as much as possible to give him a proper examination.
