LEAN holds workshop on project interventions

The European Union funded, Leadership to Ensure Adequate Nutrition (LEAN) project organized a national level workshop on the experience and lesson sharing on project interventions in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) at Dhaka on Wednesday.

The event was aimed at sharing and discussing key lessons from the project implementation experience at Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT).

In his speech the DG of DDM Md Mijanur Rahman said, “We have some constitutional obligations to ensure nutrition in the community. LEAN project has worked to these aspects.”

“The hill districts council coordination should be implemented in case of build sustainability after the project closing,” he added.

Md Shahidul Alam, Director General of Food Planning and Monitoring Unit (FPMU) under Food Ministry, praised the courage of the LEAN project to implement project in the hill districts while most of the organization don’t urge to do these types of work because of the communication difficulties.

In another presentation Project Director Jannat Noor shared about key insights on the Nutrition Context and the LEAN Project in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT).

In her presentation she narrated a detail overview of LEAN project’s nutrition context, challenges and achievements throughout the implementation period.

Experiences were shared by the women entrepreneurs of Women Business Centre and advances farmers, providing the impact of project implementations on the ground.
