Bangladesh U-16 Women’s Football team reached Kathmandu on Wednesday noon to compete in the four- nation SAFF U-16 Women’s Football Championship’2024 to be held in Lalitpur, near Kathmandu, from March 1-10.
Bangladesh Women’s Football team left Dhaka on Wednesday morning at 10:15am and reached the Nepalese capital Kathmandu at 12:00pm in their another champions mission after they emerged the joints champions with India in the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship held in Dhaka early this month.
All the players and team members of Bangladesh are in sound health and the Bangladesh team will make their first session on Wedenesday afternoon at 4:30 pm, said a BFF release on Wednesday.
In the four- nation regional meet, Bangladesh will start their campaign taking on hosts Nepal on Saturday (March 2) at 3:pm local time at the Chyasal Stadium in Lalitpur while India will play Bhutan in the tournament opener on Friday (March 1) also at 3:00pm at the same venue.
In the single league basis matches, Bangladesh will play their giant rivals India on March 5 and will meet Bhutan on March 8 in their remaining matches at the same time and same venue.
After the league matches, top two teams will play final on March 10.
