Allegation of taking away lawyer from city

Allegations of taking away an advocate from the capital have been raised. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the victim was heading to the Supreme Court from his Mohammadpur residence.

The victim has been identified as S M Saleh Ahmed (Niru), Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, also staff of Barrister Mainul Hosein & Company.

It was learnt that on Wednesday morning, a white private car impeded a rickshaw and took Saleh Ahmed from Mohammadpur Shiya musjid area when the victim was going to Supreme Court along with his friend Advocate Sahidul Islam.

After the incident, the victim’s wife Sumaiya Akter was searching for her husband here and there. She even visited many police stations too, but she could not trace him.

After three day of the incident, Sumaiya got a call from an unknown person and said; her husband was in serious condition at Mayer Bazar area under Srivardi police station of Sherpur district. The victim was also heading to Srivardi hospital for treatment, the unknown person told her.

After this information, Sumaiya Akter rushed to Srivardi of Sherpur and saw her husband in the hospital.

On 16 February, the victim’s wife Sumaiya filed a general diary with the Srivardi police station seeking the security of her husband.

In this issue, when asked Srivardi Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Qaium Khan told The New Nation that we learnt the matter when victim wife filed a general dairy on Friday.

Actually it was occurred in the Dhaka city. Besides, the victim family didn’t file any case yet in this thana, OC added.
