CHANDPUR: Debris after a devastating fire that gutted Hashem Khan Diversified Jute Mills (Pvt) Ltd at early hours on Tuesday last in Ghilatoli village in Matlab Dakhshin Upazila. A total of 155 machines, jute goods and other valuables were burnt to ashes. Valuation of loss in the fire was estimated at approximately Tk 30 crores-claimed the Mill’s Managing Director Md Wasif Khan and staffs. Matlab Dakhshin Fire fighters team led by Asst. Deputy Director Syed Morshed Alam and Matlab Fire station in Charge- Mohammad Ali rushed to the spots and doused the flames after three hours’ frantic efforts.
