Nine Bhangura teachers accused of violating code of conduct

At least nine teachers of Bhangura Upazila of Pabna have been show-caused on Thursday (December 28) on charges of directly campaigning for the boat symbol in the parliamentary elections. Constituency-70, Pabna-3 (Bhangura, Chatmohar, Faridpur) Joint District and Sessions Judge of Pabna on behalf of the Election Inquiry Committee Tajul Islam issued this notice.
It is mentioned in the notice, those assistant teachers of various government primary schools of Khanmarich Union of Upazila, Alamgir Hossain, Hasanuzzaman Swapan, Abdul Sobahan, Rafiqul Islam, Mizanur Rahman. High school teachers Shahidul Islam, Rowson Ali, Ziaur Rahman and Faruk Hossain are mentioned in the notice. They are violated Rule 14(2) of the Rules of Conduct of Political Parties and Candidates in Parliamentary Elections 2008. They are directed to explain in writing by 11 am on December 31, 2023 why legal action should not be taken against them for such violation of law.
