Passenger bus set on fire in Dhanmondi

Unidentified miscreants torched a passenger bus in city’s Dhanmondi area on Wednesday morning, on the second day of the 36-hour blockade called by BNP and its allies.
The incident occurred in front of Keari Plaza of Dhanmondi-15 around 9:00am.
On information, two fire units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. No causality was reported.
A bus of Rajanigandha Paribahan was torched at 9:37am. Two fire engines doused the blaze, said Lima Khanam, Duty Officer of Fire Service Control Room.
Meanwhile, miscreants have carried out at least four arson attacks in 24 hours till 6 am on Wednesday (December 13), amid the 36-hour blockade called by BNP and like-minded parties.
Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters disclosed the information on Wednesday.
