After drinking water Shahzadpur villagers fall unconscious

In Shahzadpur of Sirajganj, villagers are falling unconscious after drinking tube well water. In the last 3 days, 25 people including children have become unconscious by drinking water from the tubewells of five houses and thefts have been occurred in two houses.
Going to the ground, it is known that in Faridpangasi Purvapara village of Habibullahnagar Union of Shahzadpur Upazila, miscreants gave anesthetic drugs in the tube wells of 5 houses last Thursday, Friday and Sunday. As a result, when the people of these houses became unconscious and sick after drinking the water from those tube wells, the miscreants stole the gold and money.
Last Thursday night, 5 people from Lal member’s house, 6 people from Rafiqul Pramanik’s house, 4 people from Ashraf Fakir and Manoara Begum’s house on Friday night and 10 people including children fell ill at Shahidul Master’s house on Sunday afternoon after drinking water mixed with mind numbing medicine. At that time, they stole about 5 lakh taka including cash, gold jewelry from Rafiqul Pramanik’s house and Ashraf Fakir’s house. Some of the sick have received treatment locally and many are admitted to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital. There is panic in due to this incident.
Masum Master, son of the victim Shahidul Master of Faridpangasi Purvapara village, said that in the last three days, 25 people have fallen ill after drinking tube well water of 5 houses in our village. Many are in hospital. Ten people including children are sick in my house. Goods worth about 5 lakh rupees including gold and money were stolen from Rafiqul Pramanik’s house and Ashraf Fakir’s house.
When I fell ill after drinking tube well water at my house on Sunday afternoon, the thief ran away after cutting the tin fence and entering inside in the afternoon after sensing my well-being. We villagers are very scared. I want to remedy this from the administration.
