DNCC mayor warns of stern action if posters found covering street art

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam has warned of stern action if posters are found covering up authentic street art on the city’s walls.

He was speaking at an event showcasing street art at the Mohakhali Flyover in the capital on Monday, reports UNB.

Addressing those who put posters on street art or murals, Atiqul said, “We do a lot to beautify our city with street art.

However, it’s disheartening to see that the artwork is covered with posters after a few days. I don’t want to see any posters on the beautiful street art in Mohakhali.”
