Hizbut-Tahrir top leader arrested

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Wednesday arrested one of the top leaders of Hizbut-Tahrir, a banned militant organization, from Cox’s Bazar.

The arrestee has been identified as Tauhidur Rahman alias Tauhid alias Sifat, 29.

CTTC chief Md Asaduzzaman confirmed the matter at a press conference on Thursday, reports media.
