Two arrested with marijuana in drug operation

Two drug dealers were arrested with 2 kg 500 grams of ganja in two separate raids of Narcotics Control Directorate ‘B’ Circle Ishwardi. The operation was conducted on the basis of secret information on Tuesday (November 5) night.
Abdullah Al Mamun, Inspector of ‘B’ Circle, said that on the basis of secret information, a team consisting of departmental staff conducted an operation in Bansherbada village of Ishwardi and found 500 grams of illegal marijuana by searching the market bag of Zia (40) on the unpaved road in front of AbdurRazzak’s house. Zia is the son of RehmatPramanik of that village. After Zia’s arrest, a case was filed and handed over to Ishwardi police station. In another operation, 2 kg of ganja was recovered from the house of BabluSardar (55) in Uttarpara village of Naubaria in Bhangura. BabluSardar is the son of deceased Abu Bakr Sardar of that area. He said that Bablu was arrested and a case was filed against him under the Narcotics Act.
