Grandma, granddaughter die in Lohagara road mishap

A motorcycle fell under the wheels of the brick truck while crossing the Lohagara on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway and the grandmother and granddaughter lost their lives on the spot.
This tragic accident took place in Naya Para of Padua Union on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway on Monday (December 4) afternoon.
The deceased are Iqbal Hossain Prakash Bablu of Ward No. 7 of Amirarad Union of the upazila and his grandson Chadha Morshed of the chairman’s house of Satkania upazila.
Samira Hossain (24), who was injured in the incident, was rescued and sent to the hospital for treatment. As the condition worsened, she was given first aid and sent to Chattapram Medical College Hospital.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dohazari Highway Police Station Khan Mohammad Erfan said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving information about the accident. Two cars have been impounded. We are taking legal action in this regard and the process of handing over the body to the family is underway.
