Maritime ports asked to hoist distant cautionary signal 1

Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal no one (r) one as a well-marked low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal has developed into a depression. It was centred at noon today about 1555 km Southwest of Chattogram port, 1485 km Southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 1500 km South of Mongla port and 1475 km South of Payra port, said a Met office bulletin, reports BSS. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify further.
