One dies during fish catching festival in Bhangura

One died while fishing during a Bout festival in Bhangura upazila of Pabna. His name is Ratan Ali (40). He is the son of the deceased Hossain Ali of Mallikchak Purbapara village of Bhangura upazila. The incident took place on Tuesday morning at Ruhul Bil of Hatgram Mouja of Par-Bhangura Union of the upazila.

It is known that Ratan Ali went fishing with the locals on Tuesday morning at the Bill Bout festival. He tries to catch fish with everyone with the polo.

At one point he got sick from the cold water of the bil.

Then the locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex but the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Resident Medical Officer Dr. Alamin said, Ratan Ali suffered a stroke due to cold and died before reaching the hospital.

Md Rashidul Islam,Officer-in-charge of Bhangura police station admitted the death of a person during the festival and said that the body was handed over to the relatives as there was no complaint.
