Former cricketer of Bangladesh National Cricket team Nafees Iqbal has been appointed Team Manager of the Tigers. He will act as the Team Manager for the upcoming two-match Test series between Bangladesh and New Zealand.
Bangladesh will take on New Zealand in the first Test at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from November 28 to December 2. The Tigers will face the Kiwis in the second Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur from December 6 to December 10.
Before the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, Nafees Iqbal was stepped down from his post. Before the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, Nafees Iqbal was the Team Manager of the Tigers.
After completing the two-match Test series, Bangladesh Cricket team will fly for New Zealand to play against the Kiwis. But Nafees Iqbal failed to confirm that in that time he can act the Team Manager of the Tigers.
Earlier, The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) suddenly announced the Bangladesh Cricket squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
The BCB has dropped Tamim Iqbal from the squad and Tamim Iqbal was stepped down from the post of the Captain of Bangladesh Cricket squad. Nafees Iqbal was also stepped down from the post of the Manager of Bangladesh Cricket squad.
Nafees Iqbal is the brother of Tamim Iqbal and Nafees Iqbal played the key role for Bangladesh to win their first Test.
In absence of Nafees Iqbal, Rabeed Imam acted as the Team Manager of Bangladesh Cricket team during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which concluded recently.
Rabeed Iman also acted as the Senior Manager of Bangladesh Cricket team during that time.
