BCL beats two JCD leaders at DU

The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have beaten two Chhatra Dal leaders while they were hanging banner and locking the gate of Curzon Hall of Dhaka University in support of the fifth phase of blockade called by BNP on Tuesday night.

After giving a good beating, they handed over to the university’s proctorial body and the proctorial body handed over them to Shahbagh Police Station.

The two Chhatra Dal leaders are Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall unit General Secretary Imam Al Nasser Mishu and International Affair Secretary Jasim Khan.

“They were arrested in a previous case. We will send the accused to court quickly,” Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahbagh Police Station Noor Mohammad told the media.

Moreover the Chhatra Dal issued a press release condemning this singed by Press Secretary Md Mahmudul Hasan.

“In all the incidents of torture on the campus, DU Proctor initially kept silent and creates a chance for the Chhatra League to carry out terrorist attacks and torture.

Later, the victimized students were sent to jail with false cases. In the whole process there is clear collusion between the proctor and the university administration with the BCL terrorists,” said the press release.
