Mother, two daughters found dead in Kishoreganj

A Saudi expatriate’s wife and two daughters were allegedly killed in their home in Hossainpur upazila of Kishoreganj on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place in Basurchar village of Sahedal union of Hossainpur upazila.
The three deceased have been identified asTaslima Akhtar (40), wife of Manzil Miah and their daughters named Mohana (13) and Banya (7)
Police and locals saidthe incident came to light when one of Mohana’s friends went to see her around 9:30 am. On receiving the information, senior police officers including the Police Super (SP) visited the spot.
The members of CID,PBI and intelligence agencies also went to the spot.
Sahedal Union Parishad.(UP) Chairman Md. Feroz Uddin said that he came to know about the incident through the villagers around 10 am.
Later, he went to the house and found three dead bodies. He believes that Mohana was killed after being raped. Superintendent of Police (SP) in Kishoreganj Mohammad Russell Sheikh PPM (Bar) told the New Nation that the door of the house was open. In the morning, Mohana’s friend went to the house, knocked on the door and entered the house and found all three dead.
However, we are more concerned that the incident was a homicide. The actual incident will be known only on the basis of the evidence collected by the forensic team of the CID and the post-mortem report.
Stating that one person has been detained for questioning in this incident, he said.”
If it is murder, all those involved will be brought under the law.
Police Super also said that Taslima’s husband Manzil Mia has been in Saudi Arabia since 2017.
