Spl security beefed up in Kishoreganj to tackle violence, sabotage

The administration in Kishoreganj has beefed up special security measures fearing clandestine attacks and disruptive activities during the countrywide hartal, blockade, vandalize and torching fire called by opposition activists.
A law and order review meeting at local Collectorate Conference room on Sunday. District Magistrate (DM) and Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishoreganj Md. Abul kalam Azad was in the chair. Police Super (SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar), ADM Kazi Mohua Momtaj, RAB -14 in Kishoreganj Camp Commonder Major Md. Ashraful, NSI DD Md. Iqbal, District Ansar & VDP District Commondent, Sadar UNO Mohammad Ali Siddique and law enforcement officials.
District Magistrate (DM) Abul Kalam Azad said all the law enforcement agencies units like Police, RAB, Ansar, DB and BGB. in 13 upazila, 8 municipalities and important places, Rail stations, bus terminal, stand, CNG stand, Power station, Oil deport have been told to increase vigilance and beef up tight security measures. District Police requested the public to call national emergency number 999 to inform law enforcers about any activities that may deteriorate the law and order situation.
Police Super( SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar) told the New Nation that , Police, DB, RAB and BGB deployed many petrol teams to ensure public security and protect state property.. Intelligence surveillance is already beefed up by the elite force to identify people who might carry out any subversive activities.
