We shall play good against Australia: Jamal Bhuyan

Captain of Bangladesh Football team Jamal Bhuyan said, We shall play good against Australia. We are confident against the match of Australia. Obviously Australia are stronger team.”

Bangladesh, Australia, Palestine, Lebanon have been billed in Group-I. They will play each other home and away basis of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Earlier, Bangladesh drew 1-1 with Maldives in their away match of the play-off game of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers at Male, the capital city of Maldives on October 12.

Later, Bangladesh beat Maldives by 2-1 goals in their home match of the play-off game of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on October 17. By virtue of better result than Maldives, Bangladesh reached the next round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Bangladesh Football team will leave the city for Melbourne of Australia today to play their away match against Australia on November 16.

Before their tour, Captain of Bangladesh Football team Jamal Bhuyan and Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera spoke to the journalists at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on Thursday.

According to the latest FIFA ranking, Australia have taken 27th position, while Bangladesh have earned 183rd position.

Earlier, Bangladesh played against in group phase of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Australia in 2015. Bangladesh tasted a 0-5 goals to Australia in Perth in their away match and suffered a 0-4 goals to Australia in Dhaka in their home match. In those matches, Jamal Bhuyan, was not a member of Bangladesh Football team.

Jamal said, ” We are better side than earlier team, which played against Australia. We are going Australia with a different side. We beat Maldives recently. We want to give fight against might Australia.”

Head Coach Javier Cabrera said, ” It will be a positive approach for my boys if they can perform a better brand of football against Australia. Australia will dominate our team. My boys will try to fight back against them. They will try to keep their own better performance.”
