Bagerhat motor cyclist killed in road mishap

A motor cyclist named Md. Rakibul Islam (23) was killed on the spot on Khulna-Bagerhat Highway at Town-Noapara under Fakirhat Uoazila in Bagerhat district when a loaded speeding truck hit him violently from his back on Monday morning according to a report received here. The deceased Rakibul Islam was the son one Shahin Hawladar of village Raghudattakathi of village under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat district
It is learnt from the police and some eye-witnesses that on Monday morning (at about 10 am) Rakibul Islam was going from Bagerhat to Mongla by a motor cycle and when he reached the place of occurrence the killer truck hit him from his behind violently and fled away.
As a result he was killed on the spot. On information Police of Katakhali Highway PS rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Katakhali Highway PS confirmed the mater and after the completion of the legal proceeding the said the body was handed over to the relatives. But the killer truck managed to escape. The officer, added, the deceased had been serving in a private farm.
