Sports Reporter :
Bangladesh tasted a massive 87-tun defeat to Netherlands in their sixth match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the former capital city of Kolkata on Saturday last.

After the defeat, former cricketer of Bangladesh Cricket team Rajin Saleh said, ” There is a win or defeat in every match.

But none of us expect that Bangladesh could taste defeat yesterday.

Our cricketers failed to show better brand of cricket rather they were in a hurry.

It is upset to me.”

Rajin said, ” Najmul Hossain Shanto could not shine with the willow as his opponent bowlers bowled according to their plan.

If the Team Management of the BCB discussed with Shanto, he could be motivated.”

He said, “I don’t give blame to the only Captain Shakib Al Hasan for disastrous performance.

All the cricketers of Bangladesh are responsible for the defeat.”

Former cricketer of Bangladesh Cricket team Alok Kapali said, “I think it was bad result for Bangladesh team to taste defeat to Netherlands.

I think there is a problem in Bangladesh team for their batting order.

The batting position of the batters of Bangladesh is not fixed.”

Kapai said, “The batter, who is now in-form batter like Mahmudullah Riyad can get chance to bat in the top-order.

When Bangladesh team lost their batters in regular intervals, Riyad could resist, if he could bat in the top-order.”

He said, ” Bangladesh openers failed to make a good start.

If the batters could make an auspicious start, the result would be different.”

He also said, “I don’t blame only Shakib.

All the batters cannot avoid their liability.

Shakib is none of the best cricketers of Bangladesh, he played bad in his previous matches.

But he can perform well in the next matches.”

Former captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Khaled Mashud Pilot said, ” Chandika Hathurusingha was sacked by Sri Lanka Cricket for his failure.

Earlier, he was sacked by Bangladesh Cricket Board. I think he has no quality to bring a good result for Bangladesh Cricket team.”

He also said, ” From the very beginning, I said that BCB made a mistake to appoint Hathurusingha for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

I think Bangladesh cricketers failed to make a good preparation for the World Cup.”
