Tourists at Kuakata beach ignoring cyclone danger signal

Due to the possibility of Cyclone Hamoon, danger signal number 7 is being issued in various parts of the coastal areas of the country including Kuakata sea beach area under Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district.

But, tourists of all ages visiting Kuakata were seen bathing at zero point on the beach since Tuesday morning defying the ban of the tourist police.

They are not heeding to the danger signal of the cyclone.

Some are also traveling in the sea with water bikes.

In this regard, Tourist Police Inspector of Kuakata Monirul Haque said we have already started miking for tourists to leave the beach and informing them about Cyclone Warning Signal Number 7.

Miking is going on for them to go to safe shelter.

Tourist Police is working for overall security of tourists.

Mostak Hossain, a college student from Dhaka, told he came to visit and trapped under inclement weather, so couldn’t go anywhere on Monday.

On Tuesday we went to the beach to take a bath.

At first I felt a little scared, but many people are taking a bath and we are getting a little courage.

Rafikul Islam, a tourist from north Bengal said, he has never been subjected to such a situation as he is from the northern region.

It is really nice to be seen a turbulent sea in such a situation when visiting Kuakata.

Although we heard the danger signal of weather going up, but the joy of bathing at the sea near the beach in inclement weather is different.
