Prof Dr Md Abul Kashem Mia joins UIU as VC

Prof Dr Md Abul Kashem Mia joined United International University (UIU) as its vice chancellor on Tuesday.

His appointment was made by the president of Bangladesh and chancellor of the university for a four-year term, reads a press release.

Prior to his joining the position he was the pro-VC of UIU.

Before joining UIU, he was a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Buet.

He served as head of the Department of CSE of Buet from 2001-2003 and was controller of examinations of Buet from 2012-2018.

He also served as the dean of the School of Science and Engineering of United International University from 2018-2019.
