United States national team midfielder Tyler Adams will be sidelined for five months with a hamstring injury, The Athletic reported on Thursday.
The 24-year-old American, who signed a five-year deal in August with AFC Bournemouth of the English Premier League, is expected to be out until at least mid-February following a second hamstring surgery, according to the report.
Adams had the original operation after an injury in March while playing for Leeds United, forcing a six-month layoff.
He made an appearance for Bournemouth last month but did not play again before having the second surgery two weeks ago.
