Free cervical cancer immunisation program in Madhukhali

Upazila Executive Officer Mamnoon Ahmed Aneek inaugurated the cervical cancer prevention vaccination program organized by Upazila Health Complex in Madhukhali, Faridpur on Sunday.

A total of 88 female students of 5th grade were vaccinated against cervical cancer in the classroom of Madhukhali Model Government Primary School in Paur Sadar on Sunday.

All girl students of class 5th to 9th will be given free vaccination.

This program will run in every school. About 12,000 doses of HPV vaccination will be given to female students of all educational institutions of 11 unions including 1 municipality of the upazila between October 16 and 18 working days.

Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Md. Yusuf Ali, medical officer Dr SM Farhan Tanveer, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League was present at this time.

Rezaul Haque Baku, Upazila Education Officer, Sirajul Islam, Secondary Education Officer, Abdul Awal Akon, Municipal Councilor, Mosharof Hossain, Madukhali Model Government Primary School Head Teacher Aloka Biswas, Upazila Health Inspector Faiz Md. Feroze, Medical Technologist Sujata Das, EPI Cormi Ruma Sultana and others were also present.
