Police foil pro-BNP lawyers road march to IGP office

The police on Sunday foiled a pre-scheduled road march of the anti-government lawyers, including the pro-BNP ones, towards the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in Dhaka.

The road march programme started at 1.15 pm on Sunday from the Supreme Court premises.

The United Lawyers Front, a platform of the anti-government lawyers, organised this programme to march towards the IGP’s office and to submit a memorandum in protest of false, harassing and political cases, filed against the BNP and other opposition party leaders, professionals and citizens of opposing ideologies.
