Fakhrul now talks to Azrael to overthrow govt: Quader
News Desk :
Mirza Fakhrul now talks to the Azrael, following a series of unsuccessful attempts to destabilise the government, Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Saturday.
“The road march didn’t succeed, the protests didn’t work, neither did the Golap Bagh cattle market nor the Paltan march. Now, Mirza Fakhrul is in talks with Azrael,” Quader said, reports TBS.
Obaidul Quader, also the road transport and bridge minister, said this while addressing a grand rally organised by the Awami League Dhaka North City at Civil Aviation ground in the city’s Kawla area.
Originally scheduled for 7 October to coincide with the soft opening of the Third Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, the event was rescheduled due to inclement weather, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the chief guest.
“Mirza Fakhrul said he won’t give Sheikh Hasina any more time.
Who are you to grant time? The custodians of time are the people of this country and God Himself. No one else,” Quader added.
Directing his remarks at the current leaders and activists, Quader continued to say, “Mirza Fakhrul informed the media that they’re staging a hunger strike.
The reality is, he had breakfast with food brought from Sonargaon hotel in the morning, then joined the hunger strike.
And now, he’s supposedly on a hunger strike, eagerly anticipating a lavish meal upon returning home.”
“Mirza Fakhrul keeps telling party activists that sanctions are looming.
But no further sanctions are impending.
So what will you tell the activists? Where is the embargo?” Quader added.
He said, “Fakhrul also said Sheikh Hasina roams around the world to retain power.
But Sheikh Hasina doesn’t visit foreign countries for leisure.
She goes abroad for the sake of Bangladesh, for the people of Bangladesh, and to safeguard the economy of Bangladesh.”
