No rally in Dhaka without permission, says new DMP chief

Staff Reporter  :
The newly appointed Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman has said, “It is important to stop illegal arms ahead of elections.

The criminals, who are released from jail, have been ordered to undergo strict monitoring.”

The DMP commissioner said this while addressing a press conference at DMP media center on Monday.

He said that ‘Message to Commissioner’ hotline service would be inaugurated to improve the service quality of the police stations.

If the victims do not get service at the police stations, anyone can send a message to the commissioner through ‘message to commissioner’.

Besides, this facility can be availed in the same way even if you don’t get service by
going to DB, added the DMP chief.

He also said that various types of crime information are coming to DMP. DMP is using advanced technology to control the crime against cybercrime.

At present, DMP is working along with high skills and qualifications to bring the situation under control.

Replying to a question on the US visa policy, Habibur Rahman said visa policy is a country’s internal matter and the police have nothing to be worried about it.
