Gambling party in villages of Bhangura

It has been reported that there are crowded gambling seats in different villages of Bhangura upazila of Pabna.

Sometimes these gambling games are played on cards and sometimes on mobile phones.

Boys of growing age sell crops from the farmer’s house or pocket money stolen for gambling.

As a result, parents are worried about the future of their children.

On such news, the police conducted an operation under the leadership of SI Anwar Hossain of Bhangura police station on Sunday night.

At this time, three gamblers were caught by the police.

They are Rana Ahmed, son of late Aziz Master, Nayan Ali, son of Raiz Uddin, and Mahfuzul Islam, son of Afsar Ali, of village
Parvhangura Tolatlipara of the Upazila.

Police seized Tk 5,500 cash, 104 playing cards and 2 mobile phones from the gamblers.

Police said the gamblers were gambling in front of the main gate of Parvhangura graveyard.

Md. Rashidul Islam,Officer-in-charge of Bhangura Police Station admitted the truth of the news of gambling gatherings in different villages and said that the police operation has started against them.

Three gamblers were arrested last night.

He said that a case has been filed against them in the police station.

The accused were sent to Pabna District Jail on Monday.
