Adulterated pesticides seized

Unauthorized pesticides worth approximately seven lakh taka were seized during a raid on Wednesday at the shop of M/s Abdullah Enterprises in Baraigram of Natore district.

Due to storage and sale of adulterated materials in the store, Md Abu Rasel, Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Mobile Court sentenced to store owner Yunus Ali to one month imprisonment without paying a fine of Tk 50,000.

Police and Ansar forces helped Magistrate Md Abu Rasel along with officers of Upazila Agriculture Department.

On Wednesday afternoon, the operation was conducted in the shop named M/s Abdullah Enterprise in Majhgram Bakkur Mor area of Majhgaon Union of the upazila.

The Upazila Nirbahi Officer said, on secret information, the operation was conducted at the shop named M/s Abdullah Enterprise.

At this time, 120 cartons of unlicensed Padma Zinc, 83 cartons of Sim Furan, 20 cartons of soil life, 40 cartons of Shakti Potas, 30 cartons of thiovite gold, totaling 290 cartons of pesticides worth around seven lakh taka were seized.
